Q4Fuel invited us to Hammanskraal to assess their current installation, as the client was dissatisfied with their previous installer. The petrol station was sold an outdated analogue system that was installed poorly, resulting in a horrific setup, thats why we were called in to save the day.
The mess with the power supply
When it comes to analogue systems, taking shortcuts can lead to messy and unreliable results. However, if done correctly, the extra effort pays off, but analogue is just unreliable. It’s important to split power and video for optimal performance using the right cables. Unfortunately, as evidenced by this example, many people fail to do so and end up with a tangled mess of wires and a system that doesnt work 100% at least not for long.

An unprofessional installation can cause major issues when all camera cables lead back to the recorder (DVR/NVR). Simply touching the cables can cause cameras to drop off the screen, leading to a frustrating mission to get them back on.
Outdated, Poor quality cameras
When installing cameras, it’s important to prioritize the client’s needs over your own sales goals. Take the time to analyze their specific requirements and provide them with the best solution for their unique situation. Don’t simply push what’s readily available – tailor your approach to meet their individual needs.

After a thorough analysis of the perimeter and the client’s requirements, we meticulously crafted the perfect poles for the job.
Our team utilized the Hikvision ColorVu series cameras (our absolute favorite!) which are simply unparalleled in their ability to capture color even in complete darkness – truly remarkable!
Additionally, we incorporated the Hikvision Acusense vari-focal cameras to zoom in on vehicle license plates at the pumps. Previously, all cameras by the pumps were mounted on the canopy, looking down, and unable to effectively capture license plate information.
